Cornhole Clash Recap: BOMA Takes the Trophy and $20,000 Goes to Scholarships

Posted By: Laura Diaz Events & Programs,

The second annual Cornhole Clash between Houston BOMA and IREM Houston was a great success. Members from both organizations came together for an afternoon of friendly competition, networking, and great energy, all in support of a cause that matters to the industry.

This year's March Madness-style bracket tournament brought out some serious competition, and BOMA rose to the occasion once again, defending its title for the second year in a row. The winning team, representing Hines, took home the championship honors. Congratulations to David Smith and Pierre Perez on a well-deserved victory!

$20,000 Raised for Industry Scholarships

Beyond the competition, the most exciting outcome of the day was the incredible generosity of the community. This year's event raised $20,000 for educational scholarships, which will be split equally between the BOMA and IREM scholarship funds. That is double what was raised last year, and a reflection of the passion and commitment members have for investing in the next generation of commercial real estate professionals.
