Houston BOMA Foundation Scholarships Are Now Open for 2027

The Houston BOMA Foundation is pleased to announce that applications are now open for its 2027 Educational Scholarship Program. 

If you are a Houston BOMA member in good standing and are pursuing a designation, certification, or foundational education course, we encourage you to apply. This scholarship is a reflection of the Foundation's ongoing commitment to supporting the professional journeys of its members.


About the Scholarship

The Houston BOMA Foundation offers scholarship funding to members who are committed to furthering their education and developing their expertise in the industry. Scholarships cover the full cost of one eligible course through the designated provider. Multiple scholarships are awarded each cycle, with each student eligible for one per year.


Eligible programs include:

  • BOMI designations: RPA, FMA, SMA, and SMT courses
  • BOMI certifications: PAC, PMFP, FMC, SMC, and BEC
  • BOMA 101 Education Courses, including Building Engineering Management 101 and Managing Industrial Properties 101
  • BOMA Foundations of Real Estate Management Course

Each application is reviewed and approved by the Houston BOMA Foundation Board of Trustees, with scholarship recipients announced at the Annual Awards Extravaganza in December.


Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be a current Houston BOMA member in good standing (through individual or company/building membership)
  • Meet the enrollment requirements of the educational provider, including applicable deadlines
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued learning by describing how the selected program will support their career development and growth

How to Apply

Before submitting, please have the following materials ready:

  • A current resume
  • A letter of support from your manager or supervisor
  • Proof of course completion or exam passage (required for previous scholarship recipients)

All materials must be submitted electronically. Handwritten submissions will not be reviewed.
