Houston BOMA Committees

Becoming part of a committee is a great way to get involved with Houston BOMA! Committee participation provides numerous opportunities for developing and strengthening career connections and leadership development. While the charges of each committee are strategically set by the association leadership, it is up to the committee members to achieve the annual goals of the committee through teamwork and a collective vision. The work of the Houston BOMA’s committees is vital to the continued success and advancement of the association.

• Awards Committee - The Awards Committee leads Houston BOMA’s recognition programs, honoring the people and properties that set the standard in our industry. Members oversee four areas: The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards, from promoting entries and coordinating judging to planning the awards celebration; supporting Houston BOMA winners as they advance to Regional and International award competitions; individual and building recognition programs that celebrate excellence beyond the TOBY Awards; and member leadership opportunities that spotlight and develop rising talent.
• Education Committee - The Education Committee shapes the classes, programs, seminars, webinars, and learning opportunities that help Houston BOMA members grow in their careers. Members identify what the industry needs to learn next, recommend topics and speakers, and help bring new programs to life. 
• Houston BOMA Foundation Committee - The Houston BOMA Foundation Committee connects our industry to the community it serves. Members lead the Foundation’s work across four areas: community outreach, through service projects and charitable partnerships; workforce development, through efforts that introduce new people to commercial real estate careers and build the industry’s talent pipeline; fundraising initiatives that grow the Foundation’s ability to give back; and building awareness of the Foundation among members, partners, and the wider community.
