Tour Recap: Inside 6400 Fannin – A Model for Sustainable Innovation in Houston

Events & Programs,

Houston BOMA members and guests recently gathered for an inspiring evening at 6400 Fannin, a Class AA medical and professional office building redefining what it means to work in Houston. Located at the entrance to the Texas Medical Center, this 30-story tower offered attendees a firsthand look at how thoughtful design, sustainability, and functionality can come together to create a world-class workplace experience.

Designed by Kirksey Architecture, 6400 Fannin stands as a testament to innovation in commercial real estate. Attendees explored the property’s sleek finishes, expansive amenities, and impressive performance features, including its LEED Gold certification and ENERGY STAR rating. The building also achieved a remarkable milestone as the first medical office building in both Texas and the United States to earn BOMA BEST certification, highlighting its leadership in sustainable building management.

Guests learned about the many initiatives that make 6400 Fannin a standout in the market—from energy-efficient infrastructure to its on-site beehive that supports local pollination and environmental balance. The tour showcased how a commitment to sustainability not only benefits the planet but also enhances tenant comfort, health, and overall experience.
