Boots, Bulls & Giving Back: Houston BOMA's Summer Social Recap

Posted By: Laura Diaz Events & Programs,

Houston BOMA members and guests traded blazers for boots at this year's Summer Social: Boots, Bulls & BOMA, held at Austin's Backyard. The laid back, country style venue set the scene for an evening of line dancing, a mechanical bull, and cold drinks, giving the industry a chance to unwind together as summer winds down.

An Evening to Remember

Attendees spent the night connecting with industry peers in a relaxed, festive atmosphere. Between turns on the mechanical bull and spins on the dance floor, guests enjoyed tasty bites and refreshing drinks throughout the evening. Industry Partners brought exciting door prizes to the mix, adding an extra layer of fun to the celebration.

Giving Back to the Community

This year's Summer Social carried added purpose with a donation drive supporting 419 Emancipation, a 222 bed residential homelessness resource center that helps individuals build the stability and independence needed for a fresh start. Attendees brought new, unused items including socks, undergarments, pajamas, sweatpants, shower shoes, and travel sized hygiene and toiletry products, contributing directly to neighbors working toward getting back on their feet. Guests who brought a donation at check in were also entered into a drawing for a prize.

Special Thanks

Houston BOMA extends special thanks to underwriter United Protective Services, along with sponsors Schindler Elevator, Northwest Construction, and GuardTexas, for helping make this year's Summer Social possible.
