Posted By: Laura M. Diaz Events & Programs,

Houston BOMA members recently gathered for the March Membership Luncheon to learn more about the upcoming FIFA World Cup 26™ and what the global event will mean for Houston’s buildings, tenants, and communities.

The program featured Kim Scates, Vice President of Commercial Partnerships for the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston Host City Committee, who shared insight into how the city is preparing for the tournament and the anticipated impact on Houston’s commercial real estate industry.

During the session, attendees learned what to expect from the influx of visitors, how city agencies and partners are preparing resources for property teams, and key security, transportation, and fan engagement initiatives planned across Houston.

During the luncheon, Houston BOMA also announced the recipient of the inaugural Fred Whitty Scholarship: Natalia Vera, Assistant Property Manager with Granite Properties.

Houston BOMA extends its thanks to Cotton GDS for generously underwriting the luncheon and helping make this informative program possible.
