Women in BOMA Trade Uncertainty for Clarity and Candlelight

Posted By: Laura Diaz Events & Programs,

Houston BOMA brought together women in property management for an evening that paired thoughtful reflection with hands-on creativity, blending a powerful keynote with a relaxed happy hour experience.

The evening opened with a keynote on Conscious Endurance: Navigating Uncertainty Without Losing Yourself, presented by Erica Noll. Erica is a leadership coach, keynote speaker, and former marketing and communications executive with 25 years of experience helping leaders clarify their voice, elevate their presence, and lead with sustainable impact. Before launching her coaching practice, she spent more than a decade in corporate leadership guiding brand strategy, executive communications, and large scale change initiatives.

Many professionals in the industry are navigating real uncertainty right now, from restructurings and AI disruption to downsized teams and workloads that outpace headcount. Erica walked attendees through a framework for making clear decisions, staying grounded, and leading with intention during the seasons that test you most, encouraging the group to pause and reflect rather than simply push through.

Following the keynote, guests transitioned into a happy hour candle making experience. A local candle artisan guided attendees through the process of choosing a scent and creating their own candle to take home, giving everyone a chance to unwind, connect with fellow members, and enjoy a relaxed evening together.
