Foundations First: Inside Houston BOMA’s FREM Course

Houston BOMA’s TREC-approved Foundations of Real Estate Management course recently concluded, delivering five weeks of dynamic, hands-on learning for professionals exploring the fundamentals of commercial real estate operations.
Led by Tom Easley, the course covered building systems, operations, budgeting, reporting, and contract management. Each session was hosted at a different Houston property, giving participants the opportunity to step inside active buildings, experience best practices firsthand, and connect classroom concepts to real-world environments.
Host properties included Brookhollow Central III (Dominus Commercial), Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza (JLL), One Bridgeland Green (Howard Hughes), 1550 on the Green (JLL), and Weslayan Tower (Granite Properties).
