Each year, the BOMA Southwest Regional Conference recognizes one exceptional individual whose dedication, leadership, and service have made a meaningful impact on the commercial real estate profession and the BOMA community. The Outstanding Member of the Year Award celebrates members who go above and beyond — strengthening their local association, advancing the industry, and serving their communities with distinction.

Why Submit a Nomination?
Outstanding members often work behind the scenes — chairing committees, mentoring colleagues, advocating for the industry, pursuing professional development, and contributing to their communities. This award ensures their contributions are recognized at the regional level.
If you know a colleague, volunteer leader, or industry professional who exemplifies BOMA’s mission, we strongly encourage you to submit a nomination.
Eligibility
Nominees must:
- Be a member in good standing of a local BOMA association or a Member-At-Large
- Demonstrate notable contributions during the previous year (not cumulative lifetime service)
- Include length of membership and association affiliation in the submission
Submission Requirements
All nominations must be submitted in a PDF resume format (2–4 pages) and should include a color photograph (minimum 300 dpi, JPG format) and written descriptions addressing the following evaluation areas:
- Advocacy and legislative involvement at local, state, or international levels
- Leadership skills (including a supporting letter from the local association)
- Published articles related to commercial real estate
- Elective offices held within BOMA
- Committee participation across local, regional, or international levels
- Community contributions and volunteer impact
- Enrollment in or completion of BOMA designation programs (RPA, SMA, FMA) and/or Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation, if applicable
- Continuing education such as BEEP courses, seminars, webinars, or conference instruction

The deadline to submit your nomination is March 15, 2026.
Submissions will be judged first at the local level, then advanced to regional judging.
