Building Change: Houston BOMA's Community Impact Day

Category: Community Service Events

Join Us for Houston BOMA's Community Impact Day at 419 Emancipation

We're rolling up our sleeves and putting our industry expertise to work for a cause that matters. As part of Houston BOMA's commitment to giving back, we're partnering with 419 Emancipation and the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD for this year's Community Impact Day, and we need your help.

419 Emancipation provides permanent supportive housing and critical resources for individuals experiencing homelessness, helping residents build stability, independence, and hope for the future.

On Community Impact Day, Houston BOMA members, volunteers, and industry partners will come together to enhance the property through a variety of improvement projects that will create a safer, more welcoming environment for residents. Whether you're lending a hand with landscaping, painting, cleaning, assembling care packages, or supporting one of our skilled trade projects, every volunteer plays an important role.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Landscaping
  • Painting
  • Power Washing
  • Parking Lot/Basketball Court Striping
  • Roof Inspections
  • Deep Cleaning
  • Reorganizing
  • Care Package Assembly
  • Resident Lunch
  • Haircuts for Residents

Sign up today and help us build something meaningful.

To make this day possible, we are also seeking in-kind donations of supplies, equipment, and professional services.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available!

Special thanks to the Leadership Lyceum Class for leading this event as their Capstone Project in collaboration with Houston BOMA's Community Outreach Committee.
