The ideal position that I seek would utilize my tremendous experience that I have attained over the last twenty five years as a Houston Police Officer.  I recently retired from the Houston Police Department with the rank of Corporal and was with the Hostage Negotiation Team for the last 6 years.  I have had the opportunity to work in variousl divisions including the Robbery Division Community Services and Crime Analysis . I have a tremendous amount of experience recognizing threats both in the work place (personnell wise) and in physical environments where asset protection is vitally important.  I would like a position that presents a challenge to me on a daily basis and where my actions bring about a safer and more crime free working environment.

 

My ideal position  would encompass and enact a systematic approach to crime reduction from within a given environment and flow outwards to the physical location itself.  I understand the inner workings of crime reduction and would like to relay and implement what I have learned during my tenure as a police officer.  I would like to make a difference in the daily lives of those that I have been given the responsibiltiy of protecting as I have done over the last twenty five years.   My ideal position would recognize and encourage steps taken to bring about a safer working environment for all.

Able to evaluate situations and determine what appropriate actions to take.

Recognize crime and associated patterns and apply succesfull techniques in order to remediate these patterns.

Develope theories based on availabe evidence and available information and take appropriate action.

Able to reliably attend meetings to gather information, and also deciminate information to appropriate parties.

Complete paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.

Able to memorize large amounts of detailed and complex information.

In depth knowledge of police procedures needed to gather and maintain the chain of custody in criminal incidents (this is helpful in protecting the crime scene until appropriate law enforcement officials arrive).

Able to effectively communicate and network with police officials in furtherance of asset protection.

Outstanding listening and problem solving skills needed to solve complex issues.

Have tremendous amount of experience in recognizing work place personell issues where the greatest internal threat exists.

Have experience in training in a team environment and dealing with scenarios involving criminal activity.

Have experience as a Master Hostage Negotiator.

Computer literate and able to navigate various computer programs needed in an office environment.
